We Love Our Fur Babies!

Malinda and I love our fur babies and we think Acworth is a great place to own a dog.  Walking the endless trails and fetching sticks in the lakes make for a dog paradise.  Everyday you see residents out walking with their pets.  Not only do we get to know our neighbors, but their dogs too!

We are so lucky to have some of the best veterinary services in Cobb County to care for our animals.  Acworth Animal Hospital and Lake City Animal Hospital are our pick for the highest quality care for our fur babies.  They treat them like they are part of their family, and we can always count on their friendly, compassionate and knowledgeable staff to make our animals feel loved.

There are also several great places we personally use for pet play-care, grooming and boarding.  Right in town you can find Happy Trails and The Dog House.  Both are award winning facilities, and we know they have been well loved when we pick up our boys, and you know they have had a great day!  A little farther out, but one that must be mentioned, is Cedarcrest Animal Hospital on Cedarcrest Road.  The play-care program is fantastic and offers swimming pools and treadmills. Frank Ortiz is the Dog Whisperer there and is available for training.  He is the best!

Take a stroll down Main Street and stop at Two-La-Rue.  Lisa and Ryan always have a dog treat waiting when you stop in.  Other merchants leave bowls of water outside for a little sip on a warm day.  Our festivals and events are pet-friendly so the whole family can enjoy the days.

Exciting news is the city officials have plans to build a dog park on McLain Circle in the next year or two.  This will be an exciting addition to the other amenities that you can find in Acworth.
